To develop the desired quality assurance culture following quality assurance areas may be given emphasis:<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><strong><br \/>\n1. Governance: <\/strong>Governance at university encompasses the organizational structures, legislative framework and processes through which, policies and programs are developed, managed and delivered. Governance facilitates the achievement of the stated mission and objectives of the university. The central administration and statutory bodies like Board of Trustees, Syndicate, Academic Council and the Vice Chancellor are the vital parts of the university\u2019s governance system. Some of the areas of governance at the university include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate vision, mission and objectives<\/li>\n<li>Setting the academic standard<\/li>\n<li>Process to design, review and ratify the procedures<\/li>\n<li>Academic leadership and autonomy<\/li>\n<li>Documentation at all levels (central to individual faculty members)<\/li>\n<li>Peer observation to teaching learning assessment and capacity<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder\u2019s feedback<\/li>\n<li>Program management as per objectives and outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Curriculum Content Design &amp; Review<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Involvement of stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Need assessment<\/li>\n<li>Content &amp; Structure<\/li>\n<li>Defining Course Learning Outcomes (CLO)<\/li>\n<li>Skill development mechanism or strategy<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation &amp; Review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Entry qualification<\/li>\n<li>Admission Procedure<\/li>\n<li>Progress &amp; Achievement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. Physical Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classroom facilities<\/li>\n<li>Library facilities<\/li>\n<li>Laboratory and field laboratories<\/li>\n<li>Medical facilities<\/li>\n<li>Other facilities like clean, spatially, leisure rooms, canteen, reading rooms, auditorium etc.<\/li>\n<li>Discipline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>5. Teaching &#8211; Learning and Assessment<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\na. Teaching Learning<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Quality Staff <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Appropriate teaching learning methods<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Use of Lesson plan <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Technology integration <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Focus: <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Skill Development Mechanism<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>b.
