His research focuses on population and development, particularly ageing, later-life health and wellbeing, loneliness, multi-morbidity, and long-term care. Professor Khan is a Chartered Statistician of the Royal Statistical Society and an academic adviser to the UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
