Wide level of experience in areas of food compositional analysis, carbohydratebiochemistry and functionality, food perception and behaviour, food security, nutritional epidemiology, nutritional biochemistry, nutrition-health interaction, immunology, standardization of functionality methods, etc. Research Projects conducted are: i.) HPLC identification of polyphenols in local cereals and pseudograins (completed); ii) Compilation, and Updating the INFS’s Food Composition Table (FCT for Bangladesh 2013); iii) Development of a Computerized National Food Composition Databank (completed); iv) Pre- and post-cook nutrient analysis of Bangladeshi homemade foods and dishes (ongoing); v) NGOs’ Micro-credit Programmes for Poverty Alleviation: An Evaluation through Nutrition Indicators (completed)
