Department of Biotechnology was founded in 2008 under the faculty of Agriculture. The primary goal of our department is to deliver high class teaching and conduct both basic and applied research in the field of biotechnology. We offer two core courses BTH411 and BTH412 entitled "Biotechnology" theory and practical in January-June semester of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Our department has been offering the highly demanding graduate program MS in Biotechnology since 2011. This department houses modern research facilities in a well established laboratory for biotechnology based research. The faculty members have been actively involved in research and led multiple research projects of national and international importance. The department has made significant achievements in the growth and applications of biotechnology in the broad areas of agriculture. The current students, alumni, staff and faculty members is motivated to bring benefits to the nation and the world through their dedication, knowledge and combined efforts.
