Md. Shahidul Islam is Professor, Department of Plant Pathology, Patuakhali Science and
Technology Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম and currently the Vice-Chancellor Trust Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, Barishal. Professor Md.
Shahidul Islam graduated in Agriculture from BAU in 1995, Received M S. Plant Pathology from
BAU in 2003 and PhD in 2012 from the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Patuakhali Science and Technology
Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম. He received World Bank Scholarship and Fellowship Award under Higher Education
Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), UGC.
Prior to his appointment as Vice Chancellor, he served as the Director, Institutional Quality
Assurance Cell (IQAC) Patuakhali Science and Technology Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম (PSTU). Under his leadership,
the different faculty of university achieved significant advancements in pedagogy, Curriculum
and research, establishing itself as a leader in the field. He has also worked as the Head of the
Department of Plant Pathology, Dean, Faculty of Fisheries and Director, Research and Training
Center (RTC).
Outside of academia, Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam enjoys hiking, reading, and mentoring young
scholars. His passion for lifelong learning continues to inspire those around him, and his
leadership has made Trust Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম a beacon of knowledge and innovation.
He has been working as a Life Member of the Bangladesh Phytopathological Society.
He has served as a member of the Academic Council and Regent Board of PSTU since 2021
thereby gaining vast experience in directing and supervising academic program and
administration. He has/had been serving as external expert member of curriculum committee
and appointment committee for professor and associate professor of different public university.
He is the author of over 30 papers in refereed journals. He has supervised more than 40 MS and
2 PhD students. He is serving as Legal Entity Appointed Representative (LEAR) of PSTU for project
fund Sponsored by European Commission (EC) 2015 to till date. Working in the area of research
project evaluation as a member of peer review committee, Ministry of Science and Technology,
Bangladesh. He conducted 9 research projects as project director. Professor Shahidul Islam also
serves as Editor for a number of reputable journals. He also served as the Director of the Project
“Establishment of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell at PSTU” under HEQEP, funded by World
Bank.
He is an enlisted Academic Auditor of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). Serving as a
member of Quality Assurance Committee of Barishal Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম as representative of Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম
Grant Commission (UGC), Bangladesh. A. He Worked as an External Peer Reviewer (Quality
Expart) to evaluate Self-Assessment Report and Assessment activities of different Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম,
under HEQEP funded by World Bank.
