Dr. Shekh Md Mahmudul Islam (Senior Member, IEEE) has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, Bangladesh, since June 2024. Dr. Islam received his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, Bangladesh, in 2012 and 2014, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Hawaii, USA, in December 2020, where his doctoral research focused on biomedical applications of RF and microwave technologies. He was also a JSPS Invitational Fellow at Kyoto Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, Japan.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Islam served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh from 2022 to 2024, and as a Lecturer in the same department from 2014 to 2016. During the summer of 2019, he worked as a Radar Systems and Applications Engineering Intern at ON Semiconductor, Phoenix, Arizona, USA. In the summer of 2020, he also worked as a Radio-Frequency Propagation Intern with Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences), Mountain View, California, USA, and Adnoviv, Hawaii, USA.

His research interests include digital health, wireless sensing, digital biomarker extraction, radar-based physiological monitoring, antenna array signal processing, adaptive filtering techniques, and machine learning for healthcare applications. His work focuses on developing non-contact and wearable sensing approaches for health monitoring, disease assessment, and biomedical signal analysis.

Dr. Islam is a Senior Member of IEEE and an affiliate member of the MTT-28 Biological Effects and Medical Applications Technical Committee of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society. He received the Department of Electrical Engineering Research Excellence Award from the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2020 and the Duke Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম Postdoctoral Professional Development Award in 2026. He was also a Student Paper Finalist at the IEEE Radio and Wireless Week (RWW 2019), held in Orlando, Florida, USA. In addition, he has served as an Editorial Board Member of Frontiers in Physiology and as a reviewer for several journals, including IEEE Access, IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, IEEE Internet of Things, npj Digital Health, npj Public Health, and as a Guest Editor for a special issue of IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques.
