Obaidul Islam stressed the need for strengthening collaboration among higher education sector in South Asia as well as industry academia cooperation to make knowledge-based society. He made the remarks while addressing an International conference on ‘Leadership Policy Dialogue in South Asia: Charting Responsible and Innovative AI Integration in Higher Education’ held today May 20, 2026 in Kathmandu, Nepal. UNESCO Kathmandu, Tribhuvan Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, Asian Development Bank and International Centre for Higher Education Innovation jointly organized this event under the auspices of UNESCO.

Education, Science and Technology Minister of Nepal Mr. Sasmit Pokharel, Chinese Ambassador in Nepal Mr. Zhang Maoming, Chairperson of Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম Grants Commission of Nepal Prof. Dev Raj Adhikari, ADB Country Director in Nepal Mr. Arnaud Cauchois, Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, Nepal Prof. Deepak Aryal, UNESCO Representative to Nepal Mr. Jaco Du Toita and Director of UNESCO-ICHEI Prof. JIN Li addressed the program.

Obaidul Islam called upon policymakers and professionals of South Asia region to work together for capacity building of teachers as well as higher education digital transformation. He also emphasized on promotion of technical and vocational education in South Asia.

It may be mentioned that, policymakers, academicians, private sector entities, industry professionals and experts from different countries of South Asia and representatives from international organizations, and other partners attended the program.
