ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
History is in fact very useful,
and the products of historical study are less
tangible, sometimes less immediate, than those that stem from some other
departments. The program is designed to give the
students a complete knowledge in history. Students who love history and who
want the freedom to explore the past widely should consider majoring in
history.
Department of History was formed on October 18, 2018, as the department at
Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Barishal. Department
of History of Arts and Humanities Faculty is one of the important departments
of this Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম offering a 4-year Bachelor of Arts (Hon’s.). In this program
it includes a general outline of history as a
discipline, the history of their own country, history of South Asia, Europe, America,
and some select regions of Asia and Africa, and also the basic concepts of
philosophy, economics, political science, sociology and the Bangla language. The Department also offers Master of Arts in
Bengal and South Asian History, Master of Arts in International History.
This Department is conducting outstanding education and research in the field of history which will contribute to the
making local, regional, national and international history. It has also given emphasis on areas of political, economic,
social, cultural, public, visual,
global, environmental, oral, archaeological, and architectural, subaltern,
communication, agrarian and women’s history.
The courses also give emphasis in achieving the optimum acquisition of
historical knowledge which can be
utilized for historical products in regional, national and global level. The
program is specially designed
to produce competent professionals who are able to think chronologically, historically and critically with the knowledge
of historical interpretation and historical comprehension and lead in writing history
from realistic, formal, expressive, and pragmatic approaches. It is hoped that our graduates will be competent to meet the future challenges of writing and practicing historical issues of the country and the globe as a whole.
Most of the faculty members of
the History have obtained master's Degrees along with M.phil. and PhD. They have started producing excellent cutting-edge
knowledge and research in history.
Most of our faculty members are young, energetic and promising. We are trying to engage ourselves in different
nationally and internationally renowned
historical research institutes or organizations, hopefully the faculty members
will be able to contribute
significantly to produce real historical products locally, nationally and globally.

MISSION
Mission of the History Department-
1. To plan an outcome-based education along with a intermingled teaching style
by combining historical knowledge and cognitive, social, personal, and professional skills altogether.
2. Empower students to cope with the challenges of globalization by instilling in them a life-long passion for learning about the past. The knowledge about the interconnections between the global, national, regional and local history will equip the students to face the challenges with confidence.
3. To produce quality historians with a sense of patriotism, a sound knowledge of society, economy, culture and politics who will be able to construct, reconstruct and deconstruct history nationally and globally to pave the way for creating a sound future.
4. To develop scholarship in academia inspired from the age-old tradition of
scholarly relation.
