ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the Department of Mathematics at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Barishal.The Department of Mathematics under the faculty of Science and Engineering is one of the founding departments of the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Barishal, which formally started academic activities in 2011 and initiated admission procedures from the academic session of 2011-12. The students enrolled in the program offered by the Department will obtain BS (Hons) degree in a 4-year program which consists of 8 academic semesters.
The department mainly offers 4-year undergraduate program in Mathematics where courses are designed in such a way that students graduating from this department have a balance of theory and practical skills to prepare them for the highly competitive workplace. The graduates of the department are well comparable with the graduates of the other departments in the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম and are well established in the local job markets as well as in abroad. Some of them are holding key positions in manifold areas in government/non- government organizations, institutions, universities, business and other. It is a matter of pride for the department.
The department enrolls 80 students in each research institutions. It has 13 fulltime faculty members, among them 8 are present and the rest are doing their higher study in home and abroad. Among the present faculty members, there are 5 associate professors, 6 areassistant professors and 2 is lecturers. The faculties are well-experienced and well-known in their own filed of research. Almost all the faculties have pursued higher degrees (PhD) world from reputed universities.
The faculties are also
among regular contributors. Sports, cultural and extra-curriculum activities
are well-organized under the leadership of Student Advisor in collaboration
with Barishal Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম Mathematics Associations (BUMA).The primary role of the
Chairman is to deal with matters relating to students, including the
implementation of the program. Non-academic staff management is directly under
the jurisdiction of the Chairman of the Department.
VISION
The vision of the program is to accelerate the department of Mathematics as the pioneer institution of mathematics which will be acknowledged globally for its depth in both research, and teaching solving complex challenges, as well as locally for contributing to the growth of the communities it serves.
MISSION
The mission of this program is to:
M1. Progress the knowledge in various branches of Mathematics via teaching-learning and research and to produce sincere, dutiful and caring individuals with required professional skills so that Mathematics graduates can competently serve the nation and render services to the international communities;
M2. Conduct research that has worldwide impact and recognition;
M3. Provide learning opportunities to enormous breadth and depth;
M4. Produce graduates who are extensively worldwide accepted; and
M5. Undertake educational outreach and community engagement that enhance mathematical and computing ability on both nationally and globally.
Objectives of the POE: The objectives of the Department of Mathematics include the followings: O1. Encourage students to participate in learning experience through classroom participations, research involvements, seminar and workshop workings, and other related activities. O2. Develop the scientific method and mathematical reasoning as effective problem-solving tools and foster their applications in research. O3. Work with students to understand core mathematical and scientific concepts, supporting student learning at all skill levels in foundational science and mathematics. O4. Prepare students for their academic and professional careers by providing recent job scenerios in the workforce. O5. Raise awareness among faculty members, non-academic staff and personnel of student support organizations, about the importance of curriculum.
