Short Biography:
Md. Asaduzzaman is a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Barishal, Bangladesh. He completed his Master of Science (M.S.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S. Hons.) degrees in Physics from the same university (achieving 2nd position in his B.S. program and 1st position in his M.S. program), earning the Dean’s Award in 2023 for his outstanding academic performance. His research primarily focuses on computational biophysics, membrane biophysics, and nanoscale molecular transport phenomena.
As a researcher at the K. Alam Research Laboratory (KARL), Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Barishal, he has been actively involved in simulation-based investigations of electroporation, nanopore transport, and molecular permeability in lipid vesicles. He has contributed to several peer-reviewed international journals, including the European Biophysics Journal, Journal of Biological Physics, Applied Biological Research, and Bangladesh Journal of Physics.
In addition to his research, Mr. Asaduzzaman teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as Classical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Mathematical Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Magnetism & Magnetic Materials. He also jointly supervises M.S. research/thesis projects on computational modeling of biomolecular systems and electroporation dynamics.
He participated in the Sakura Science Exchange Program (Japan Science and Technology Agency) at Kogakuin Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, Tokyo, Japan (2018 & 2025), focusing on computational science and biophysics collaboration. His technical expertise includes COMSOL Multiphysics, LAMMPS, GROMACS, and Python for simulation and analysis.

Abstract Biomembranes regulate molecular transport essential to cellular function and numerous biomedical applications, such as drug delivery and gene therapy. This study simulates molecular transport through nano-sized multipores in Giant Unilamellar Vesicles (GUVs) using COMSOL Multiphysics. We analyzed the diffusion dynamics of fluorescent probes—including Calcein, Texas-red dextran 3000 (TRD- 3k), TRD- 10k, and Alexa Fluor-labeled soybean trypsin inhibitor (AF-SBTI)—across different pore sizes, and derived rate constants using curve fitting that closely align with experimental data. Additionally, an analytical model based on Fick’s law of diffusion provides further insight into transport efficiency. This approach offers a novel perspective by examining simultaneous transport through multiple nanopores, which better mimics realistic biological environments compared to traditional single-pore studies. We used COMSOL for efficiently simulating large-scale, multi-nanopore systems, particularly in biomedical applications where modeling of complex transport phenomena is essential. This work provides new insights into multipore-mediated transport, critical for optimizing nanopore-based drug delivery and advancing the understanding of cellular transport mechanisms. Attachment |
