As a core component of this program, a state-of-the-art GNSS Jing-Wei Ocean Buoy has been successfully deployed at the Rabnabad Channel, establishing Bangladesh’s first satellite integrated coastal observatory. To fully leverage this advanced asset, a dedicated three-day training was organized in the Department of Oceanography on 27-30th November 2025 to equip the skills required for the operation, data processing, and scientific application of the GNSS Jing-Wei Buoy System. The training speaker was the two scientist of First Institute of Oceanography respectively Dr. Shumin Jiang and Dr. Yabin Wang. In this training programme, there was five technical sessions. The technical session 1 (Introduction on Jingwei GNSS Buoy) and technical session 4 (Ocean surface waves and their effects) were taken by Dr. Shumin Jiang. The technical session 2 (Introduction to GNSS positioning principle), technical session 3 (Introduction to GNSS Technology -algorithm) and the technical session 5 (Finesacle parameterization of internal waves) were taken by Dr. Yabin Wang. For succeeding the programme aligned persons were attended the training from different sector and stakeholders. To ensure the successful implementation of the programme, participants from various sectors and stakeholder organizations attended the training. The Visiting Professor Dr. Tonia Astrid Capuano who working in the ICOG ( International Centre for Ocean Governance) was also presented .Distinguished guests included the Chief Hydrographer of Payra Port Authority, Mr. Imtian Uddin Md. Sabik, Lecturer from the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, Lecturer from Bangladesh Maritime Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, representatives from the Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM), Hydrographer from Payra Port Authority, Research Officer from BIMRAD (Bangladesh Institute of Maritime Research and Development), and Research Assistant from IWFM were attended.
The Training programme culminated in an awards ceremony, where participants, having successfully completed the training, were honored with certificates by Honorable Vice Chancellor of Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan. Such acknowledgments not only celebrate their achievement but also underscore the importance of continuous professional development in the realm of GNSS Buoy and surface waves management. Further elevating the programme, Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Dr. Abdus Salam, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Saifuddin Ahmed, Proctor of the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh and Commodore A K M M Sherafullah (H), NGP, BCGMS, psc, BN, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science, Bangladesh Maritime Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, Sharing their wisdoms and experiences. The event also benefitted from the esteemed presence of Dr. Abu Hena Muhammad Yousuf, the Chairman of the Department of Oceanography at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, committed to managing, supporting, and participating in this type of all research and technical activities in collaboration with ICOG and the Department of Oceanography. The Director of the ICOG Dr. K M Azam Chowdhury painted a broader vision of interdisciplinary growth and underscored the training role in shaping the future trajectory of oceanographic research. In conclusion, the GNSS Buoy and Surface wave management training has set a benchmark, not just in the realm of oceanography but in the broader academic landscape, emphasizing the power of collective knowledge and collaboration.
