
On June 28, 2026, as part of the Centre for China Studies' (SIIS-DU) ongoing efforts to strengthen Bangladesh–China cultural and people-to-people exchanges, Dr. Ying Du, Professor of Chinese Literature at East China Normal Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম, visited Bangladesh at the invitation of CCS. During her visit, she delivered two distinguished academic lectures on June 28, 2026, at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, engaging students, academics, and scholars in discussions on Chinese literature, cinema and cultural heritage.

The seminar, titled "The Cinematic Cold War between the PRC and the US in Hong Kong (1950s–1960s)," was organized by the Department of English and Humanities (DEH) and the Center for South Asian Studies (C-SAS), ULAB.
In her lecture, Dr. Du explored how Hong Kong became a significant cultural battleground during the Cold War, where cinema emerged as an important medium for ideological competition between the People's Republic of China and the United States. Through historical analysis and film studies, she demonstrated how cinematic narratives reflected political tensions while simultaneously shaping public opinion and cultural identity during the 1950s and 1960s. The lecture was followed by an engaging question-and-answer session with students and faculty members. Mahmud Hasan Khan, PhD, Professor, Department of English and Humanities (DEH) chaired the lecture.The seminar was attended byProf. Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee, Treasurer & Professor, School of Business.

Later on June 29, Dr. Du delivered another lecture titled "Traditional Culture in Chinese Literature and Cinema" under the theme "Read China: What 5,000 Years of Continuous Chinese Culture Tells Us" at the Institute of Modern Languages Auditorium, Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh. The programme was organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh in collaboration with the Institute of Modern Languages and the Association of Bangladesh-China Alumni (ABCA).

In her presentation, Dr. Du highlighted the enduring influence of China's five-thousand-year-old civilization on its literary and cinematic traditions. Drawing examples from classical and modern literary works as well as contemporary films, she illustrated how Chinese literature and cinema preserve traditional cultural values while adapting to changing social contexts. She emphasized the important role of literature and film in fostering cross-cultural understanding and introducing global audiences to the richness and continuity of Chinese civilization.
The seminar was attended by Li Shaopeng, Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Bangladesh. In his remarks, he reflected on the deep-rooted cultural affinities and shared values between Bangladesh and China. He emphasized that a greater understanding of each other's civilizations provides a strong foundation for expanding academic, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges, ultimately contributing to stronger bilateral cooperation and friendship.

The seminar was also attended Yang Hui, Director of the Confucius Institute at DU, Professor Mohammad Absar Kamal, Director (Acting), Institute of Modern Languages, Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh.
Dr. Du's visit, facilitated by CCS, represents another important step in advancing CCS's mission of deepening Bangladesh–China cultural ties and enhancing people-to-people connectivity through meaningful academic engagement.
