শীত মানেই পিঠা আর পিঠা মানেই স্মৃতি, ভালোবাসা, আর বাঙালিয়ানা! শহুরে জীবনের ব্যস্ততা, ক্লাস-ডিউটি-দায়িত্বের মাঝেও যখন সবাই মিলে একসাথে বসে শীতের ঐতিহ্যকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখে—তখন সেটা শুধু একটা আয়োজন থাকে না, হয়ে ওঠে একটা অনুভূতি। এই অনুভূতিকে হৃদয়ে ধারণ করে ভাষাবিজ্ঞান Deltin 7 অ্যাপের উদ্যোগে আয়োজন করা হয় “পিঠা উৎসব –১৪৩২"। ৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬ তারিখে অনুষ্ঠিত এই বর্ণিল উৎসবে Deltin 7 অ্যাপের শিক্ষকমণ্ডলী ও Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লটর্থীদের উপস্থিতিতে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে পিঠা উৎসবের উদ্বোধন করেন মাননীয় প্রো-উপাচার্য (Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লট) অধ্যাপক ড. মামুন আহমেদ। স্বাগত বক্তব্যে অধ্যাপক ড. মামুন আহমেদ আয়োজকবৃন্দের প্রশংসা করেন এবং এমন সুন্দর আয়োজনের প্রশংসনীয় ধারাবাহিকতার কথা উল্লেখ করেন। এই উৎসবে আমন্ত্রিত অতিথি হিসেবে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন কলা অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. মোহাম্মদ ছিদ্দিকুর রহমান খান, সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. তৈয়েবুর রহমান, কলা অনুষদের সাবেক ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. সদরুল আমিন, পপুলেশন সাইন্স Deltin 7 অ্যাপের অধ্যাপক ড. মোহাম্মদ মাইনুল ইসলাম, নৃবিজ্ঞান Deltin 7 অ্যাপের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক ড. রফিকুল ইসলামসহ অন্যান্য Deltin 7 অ্যাপের শিক্ষক ও Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লটর্থীবৃন্দ। সকলের প্রাণবন্ত উপস্থিতিতে পুরো আয়োজনটি হয়ে ওঠে আরও আনন্দময়।

উৎসবের বিশেষ আকর্ষণ ছিল Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লটর্থীদের দ্বারা হাতে তৈরি পিঠার স্টল। বাহারি নাম, দেশীয় সাজসজ্জা আর হরেক রকমের পিঠাপুলি নিয়ে বিভিন্ন বর্ষের Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লটর্থীরা সাজিয়ে তুলেছিল প্রতিটি স্টল। উৎসবের পিঠার মধ্যে ছিল ভাপা পিঠা, চিতই পিঠা, পাটিসাপটা, দুধ পিঠা, নকশি পিঠার মতো বাহারি নামের পিঠা।পিঠার উপস্থাপনা, বৈচিত্র্য ও স্বাদের ভিত্তিতে প্রতিবছরের মতো এবারও Deltin 7 অ্যাপীয় উদ্যোগে প্রতিটি বর্ষের Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লটর্থীদের মধ্য থেকে সেরা স্টলগুলোকে বিশেষ পুরস্কারে সম্মানিত করা হয়। এ বছর কলা অনুষদের সম্মানিত ডিন অধ্যাপক ড. মোহাম্মদ ছিদ্দিকুর রহমান খান সেরা তিনটি স্টলের নাম ঘোষণা করেন। অনুষ্ঠানের অতিথিরা প্রতিটি স্টল ঘুরে দেখেন এবং বিভিন্ন পিঠার স্বাদ নেন। এবারের পিঠা-উৎসব আয়োজনের আহ্বায়ক ছিলেন ড. মাশরুর ইমতিয়াজ।সমাপনী বক্তব্যে তিনি অনুষ্ঠানের সফল আয়োজনের জন্য ভাষাবিজ্ঞান Deltin 7 অ্যাপের চেয়ারম্যান ড. মনিরা বেগম, শিক্ষক, Deltin 7 অনলাইন স্লটর্থী এবং কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলের প্রতি আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ জ্ঞাপন করেন। (Winter in Bengal is inextricably associated with pitha, a culinary tradition deeply embedded in collective memory, affection, and cultural identity. Amid the demands of urban life and the pressures of academic responsibilities, coming together to preserve this seasonal heritage transcends a mere event and becomes a shared cultural experience. With this spirit in mind, the Department of Linguistics organised the Pitha Festival 1432.The festival was held on 8 February 2026 with the active participation of faculty members and students of the department. The event was formally inaugurated by the Honourable Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education), Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural remarks, Professor Dr Mamun Ahmed commended the organisers and highlighted the significance of sustaining such commendable cultural initiatives on a regular basis.The programme was further honoured by the presence of several distinguished guests, including the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan; the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Dr Taiabur Rahman; former Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr. Sadrul Amin; Professor Dr Mohammad Mainul Islam of the Department of Population Sciences; and the Chairman of the Department of Anthropology, Professor Dr Rafiqul Islam, alongside faculty members and students from various departments. Their enthusiastic participation contributed greatly to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

A key attraction of the festival was the series of stalls featuring pitha prepared by students. Participants from different academic years creatively decorated their stalls with traditional motifs, distinctive names, and a wide assortment of pitha. The selection included Bhapa Pitha, Chitoi Pitha, Patisapta, Dudh Pitha, and Nakshi Pitha, among other traditional varieties. As in previous years, awards were conferred upon the best stalls from each academic year based on criteria such as presentation, variety, and taste. This year, the names of the top three stalls were announced by the Honourable Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan. Guests also visited the stalls and sampled the various items on display.

The convenor of this year’s Pitha Festival was Dr Mashrur Imtiaz. In his closing remarks, he expressed sincere gratitude to the Chair of the Department of Linguistics, Dr Monira Begum, as well as to the faculty members, students, officers, and staff whose collective efforts ensured the successful organisation of the event.)
