
Sadia Afrin Sayfa Negaban graduated with a B.S. degree in Meteorology, achieving an outstanding CGPA of 3.98 out of 4.00 and securing first position in her department's inaugural honors batch. Her exceptional academic record is complemented by a series of prestigious fellowships and awards. She was selected as one of only 30 fellows from 3,393 applicants for the ICCCAD Youth Fellowship 2026, received a full scholarship to the International Solid Waste Association - Solid Waste Institute for Sustainability (ISWA-SWIS) Winter School 2025, and successfully completed the Harvard-affiliated 2025 Aspire Leaders Program. Her achievements also include receiving a Research Fellowship from Youth Power in Social Action (YPSA), the South Asian Meteorological Association (SAMA) Student Champion Award 2024, being the 2nd Runner-up in Climathon 2024, and recently being named among the Top 4 Global Finalists in the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) AI for Early Warnings for All Innovation Challenge. Additionally, she has participated in the Empowering Women in Geospatial Information Technology program arranged by ICIMOD and supported by USAID and NASA, and in the Deltin 7 bangladesh Thrive Challenge 2025, for which she was awarded a certificate for field work by the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team - Asia Pacific Hub.
Professionally, she has gained valuable experience as a Future Leader and Intern at the Avoidable Deaths Network (ADN) and as an Intern at the PEOPLE Project under the World Meteorological Organization's World Weather Research Programme. Her scholarly pursuits have been further supported by numerous scholarships and honors, including the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh Undergraduate Scholarship for outstanding academic performance, attendance, and extracurricular activities, the JAAGO Women Scholarship, the Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation Scholarship, the Al Haz Maqbul Scholarship, and the Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall Trust Fund Scholarship.
Beyond academics, Sayfa has organized and volunteered in numerous events promoting environmental awareness, including World Meteorological Day celebrations and international conferences.
