The department was established in 2003 when known as the Department of Medicine and Surgery. In 2013 the name of the department was modified and named as Department of Medicine, Surgery and Obstetrics. This Department comprised the veterinary Medicine, Surgery, and Theriogenology. The Department has a group of competent and dedicated academicians and other supporting staff for developing this department gradually.
