
The Master of Science (MS) in Microbiology at PSTU is offered under the Department of Microbiology and Public Health (MIC), faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. MS in Microbiology will propose an exceedingly customizable curriculum with nominal principal requirements, which requires 40 credit hours to be accomplished. MS in Microbiology requires 24 credit hours of course work plus 16 credit hours for research thesis, giving students the autonomy/independence to specialize in any area(s) of students’ choices. Students will conduct eight compulsory courses (16 credits) and can select four elective courses from a set of more than 20 courses (08 credits). The proposed courses are for entry-level, mid-career, and advanced students alike. The course classes of this degree will be conducive for students to develop job-applicable skills as well as advanced knowledge that explore more theoretical, academic, and research areas of inquiry and everything in between. The program can be completed full-time.
