
On the morning of June 30, 2026, the closing ceremony of the 2026 Delegation of Young Leaders from Bangladesh to China was successfully held in Beijing. Li Yafang, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China International Communications Group (CICG), President of the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies (ACCWS), and Chinese member of the Academic Board of the Centre for China Studies (Bangladesh), alongside Li Kaisheng, Vice-President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), attended the ceremony and presented certificates of completion to the delegation members. The event was moderated by Liu Zongyi, Director of the Center for South Asian Studies at SIIS and Chinese Director of the Centre for China Studies (Bangladesh).

In her remarks, Li Yafang stated that the visit of the Bangladeshi young leaders’ delegation comes at a highly opportune time and has garnered significant attention. The leaders of China and Bangladesh have jointly announced the building of a China-Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era, mapping out a new blueprint for elevating bilateral relations to a higher level and expanding vast prospects for youth exchanges between the two nations. She emphasized that the youth of both countries should act as sharers of development experience to deepen mutual learning with an open mind, as participants in common development to advance side by side with a sense of responsibility to the times, and as narrators of China-Bangladesh friendship to enhance mutual understanding and affinity from a youthful perspective, thereby injecting youthful vitality and new impetus into the continued growth of bilateral friendship.

During the exchange session, the delegation members shared their experiences and reflections on their visit. They noted that China’s achievements in the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, state governance, economic and social development, public services and digital infrastructure, technological innovation, and environmental protection were profoundly impressive. The attendees unanimously agreed that this closing ceremony is not an end, but rather a starting point for their continued attention to China and future contributions to China-Bangladesh relations. The delegates expressed their expectations for enhanced bilateral cooperation in areas such as state governance, infrastructure development, urban public services, green energy, and trade and investment, and many said they looked forward to visiting China again in the future.
The concluding remarks session was moderated by Zhang Jiu’an, Director of the Department of Scientific Research Management and International Cooperation at ACCWS. Aga Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Head of the Bangladeshi delegation and Chinese language lecturer at the Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম of Deltin 7 bangladesh, and Li Kaisheng, Vice-President of SIIS, delivered closing remarks respectively.
Aga Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury stated that through their ten-day journey in China, the delegation members gained a more multidimensional and authentic understanding of the country. This visit is not an endpoint, but a new beginning for the delegates to continue studying and understanding China in the future. They are committed to serving as a bond for China-Bangladesh exchanges and spreading a true and accurate image of China within Bangladeshi society.

Vice-President Li Kaisheng remarked that China and Bangladesh are partners and neighbors that learn from each other. Every nation needs to independently explore its own path to modernization, and mutual learning in state governance will help countries better navigate development paths suited to their specific national conditions. The vivid practice and successful experience of Chinese modernization provide a brand-new reference for other developing countries exploring their own modernization paths. Noting that China remains a developing country with much work yet to be done, he added that strengthening exchanges and mutual learning in governance and civilization will assist both China and Bangladesh in their respective explorations of modernization. He expressed his hope that the delegates will become a strong bridge for mutual learning and exchanges between the two nations, contributing to joint efforts to build a China-Bangladesh community with a shared future.
Li Hongmei, Research Fellow at SIIS and Executive Deputy Director of the Centre for China Studies, and Wu Mengke, Assistant Research Fellow, also attended the event.
