Md. Nazrul Islam is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Post-Harvest Technology and Marketing at Patuakhali Science and Technology Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম (PSTU). He also holds the position of Assistant Hall Provost at Bijoy 24 Hall within the university. Md. Nazrul Islam completed his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science and his Master of Science in Post-Harvest Technology and Marketing from PSTU, as well as his Master of Science in Post-Harvest Technology and Marketing,PSTU. During his master's program, he conducted his thesis in collaboration with the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR) in Rajshahi, focusing on food and fruit processing in their Food and Fruit Processing Research Division.
After completing his graduate studies, Md. Nazrul Islam worked as a nutrition expert with both national (SARPV) and international organizations (ACF International) funded by UNICEF, gaining valuable experience in the field of nutrition and food. He later joined the Department of Post Harvest Technology at PSTU as a Lecturer and was subsequently promoted to Assistant Professor.
With over seven years of experience in teaching and research, Md. Nazrul Islam has developed expertise in Post-Harvest Technology, Nutrition, and Food Science. He has published 21 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, covering critical topics such as food safety, value-added product development, food packaging and labeling, functional and formula products, food quality, and public health nutrition.
Md. Nazrul Islam is committed to making significant contributions to the food and nutrition sector in Bangladesh. He is dedicated to advancing teaching, research, and innovation in his field and is currently accepting graduate (Master's) students in his lab for further research and development.
