Dr. Mohammad Rohul Amin is a renowned academician, researcher, and professor in the field of veterinary medicine, with a special focus on pharmacology. Born on January 18, 1977, in Tangail, Bangladesh, Dr. Amin completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree from Bangladesh Agricultural Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম (BAU) in 1998, followed by a Master of Science (M.S.) in Pharmacology in 2002. He awarded Ph.D. in Pharmacology from BAU in 2007, and later joined Patuakhali Science and Technology Deltin 7 Aviator গেম টাকা ইনকাম (PSTU) as a Lecturer in the Department of Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology. Over the years, he advanced to become a Professor in the same department. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Amin has taken on significant administrative roles. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, PSTU from 2017 to 2019, and has chaired multiple departments within the faculty, including the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, Department of Pathology and Parasitology as well as the Department of Animal Products and By-products Technology. His leadership has been instrumental in fostering a collaborative and research-oriented environment at PSTU. Dr. Amin is widely recognized for his pioneering research on the pharmacological properties of indigenous medicinal plants and their applications in veterinary practice. His research spans areas like antimicrobial resistance, antibiotic residues in animal products, and the role of natural remedies in improving animal health. He has published 42 research articles in national and international journals and has been actively involved in several research projects focused on veterinary pharmacology and food safety. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Amin has contributed to the professional development of the veterinary community in Bangladesh, serving as President of the Coastal Vet Society Bangladesh (CVS-BD) and leading various scientific conferences and workshops. His leadership extends to mentoring veterinary students, organizing academic events, and fostering collaboration within the scientific community. Dr. Amin’s academic and professional journey is a testament to his dedication to advancing veterinary science, pharmacology, toxicology and public health in Bangladesh. Through his research, teaching, and leadership, he has made significant contributions to the understanding of animal health and the application of indigenous knowledge in modern veterinary practices. His commitment to education and research continues to inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals in Bangladesh and beyond.
