The Chairmanship of the Department of Chemistry was handed over through a brief program on 15 April 2025 in the S N Nabi Conference Room of the Department in the Curzon Hall premise. The former Chairman of the Department, Professor Dr. Md. Qamrul Ehsan formally handed over the responsibility to the new Chairman, Professor Dr. Farida Begum. Current faculties of the Department were present in the program to welcome the new Chairman and appreciate the leaving Chairman through reminiscence of his outstanding contribution in the Department, in all scopes encompassing administration, teaching, and research. Professor Dr. Md. Qamrul Ehsan also shared with his colleagues the precious memories of his life events and career paths in his long journey in the Department.
